Are you a growth-stage startup or technology provider with a solution for the real estate or construction sector?

Hong Kong is home to some of the largest real estate and construction companies globally.

Together, we are seeking innovation and technology partners to join in our quest to decarbonise the real estate and construction sector and to contribute to the Hong Kong Climate Action Plan 2050.

Work with Hong Kong’s leading real estate and construction companies to help decarbonise the city with scalable, innovative solutions.

The Challenge

By engaging world-leading technology companies to address industry-specific challenges, we aim to catalyze innovation, accelerate the adoption of green technologies, and ultimately, lead the transformation towards a more sustainble built environment.

Hong Kong has recently announced the ambition to become an international green finance and tech hub. The city also has its own decarbonisation commitments as outlined in the Climate Action Plan 2050. We are combining those efforts under the Hong Kong Green Tech Challenge, a joint initiative between Carbonless and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, making this a collaborative platform for the key stakeholders in the city.

The Real Estate and Construction industry serves as a pivotal cornerstone of Hong Kong’s economy and the broader Asian region. By initiating the Hong Kong Green Tech Challenge series with this sector, we target an industry responsible for a substantial portion of carbon emissions. This approach aligns with the Hong Kong Climate Action Plan 2050 and presents a unique opportunity for innovation.

What we are looking for

Scalability will be key as we face ambitious decarbonisation targets with our Corporate Partners. We seek solutions that have been trialed elsewhere and are able to scale in Hong Kong and Asia.

We are inviting all scalable solutions for the real estate and construction industry to apply for the main Green Building Challenge.

Our Corporate Partners will also have specific problem statements that your solution might be able to solve.
